Now im unemployed can take advantage of the great surf we get , Alley pumping on low tide today
Are you serious!!! Now you surf, paint and do the Market circuit/circus. Things happen for a reason and this is the opportunity to pursue something you have a feel for. Take your easel and paints to the beach and set up after you've had a surf. I wouldn't be suprised if you make a fortune just selling to tourists off the beach. It's worth considering., what's the worse that can happen - you do heaps of surfing but might not sell anything? Still sounds good to me!!!!

Leroy , sounds like the life mate , unfortunately reality has a habit of biting you in the arseUnfortunately ill have to find a real job , one that pays the bills Cant complain many many worse of than me , worked in a family buisness for 15 Years had ups and downs but come out the end in reasonable shape. Worse part is im realising quickly im not qualified for anything , seems these days you need a tickett to wipe your arseI do have a masters degree in common sense though
What about doing custom paint jobs on some of those DC and Laguna Bay SUPs, I'd pay a coupla hundred extra to have you do the cut back on the bottom of mine!! Put out a business card and a brochure of some of your paintings and give it to the custom shapers up and down the coasts, again worth considering? Sounds like you know how to run a business Good luck with it. At 40 (15 years ago) I went from being a successful but redundant Operations manager to becoming a Primary PE teacher. Besides the massive salary drop, I've never regretted a moment. That thrill of watching a student get something they were struggling with is priceless and much, much less stress! They can fast track teaching degrees nowadays and you get paid while you learn and teach....art perhaps. Remember a change is as good as a holiday so enjoy your break, if it's like most family businesses you probably haven't had a proper holiday in 15 years........ Bloody Dragons.... sorry watching Monday night Footy and St George pinched an unlikely victory from the Rabbitohs, 15th beats 1st!! Good luck with it all, use that Masters in Common Sense well, you're one of the hundred odd people left in Australia that still possess it. Cheers Leroy!!
