My point is.. I often get told by people that they would love to come on a downwinder with us but don't because they are worried that they won't keep up.. or come in last.

Hell yeah...what he said. I'm slow and I go*. Besides, if you're worried about not going fast on downwinders you're definitely not going to get any faster doing downwinders unless you do some downwinders.

not wanting to piss in your pocket DJ... but i have a pisser of an idea.... A DJ compilation CD of soundtracks of the Vids D/W ers.....raise money for an annual piss up, not a good idea? I'll piss off then and get pissed... ( but i would like a cd)

Well I've never met DJ, but I have watched lots of his videos and read lots of his posts and commented on lots of his topics. I have tried to wear boardies over my wetsuit. I have tried a yellow board, don't like the colour. I can't ride a bike with big fat tyres. I don't have a SUP1 number plate.
But DJ does put lots of stuff on here that is interesting and he appears to be extremely helpfull to newbies or learners.
I have enough trouble just pissing straight, let alone pissing in someones pocket.
I will never be a DJ but one thing is for sure if everybody tried as hard and enjoyed their SUPping as much as he does we would have a lot of STOKED people around.
