Hi All,

I've been lurking for some time. I think DJ should take take out an intervention order! I have been stalking him online (watched a lot of his awesome vids!!).

After some significant deliberating I put my hard earned down on a NSP Elements 10.2 today. It's my Christmas pressie from the family so I'm pretty stoked. I did a fair but of research and I am fully aware that there are some great boards available but I was very restricted by $$. Even going an extra $500 to get into a Coreban or Naish wasn't an option at this point in time.

I am sure that the NSP will serve it's purpose for a beginner and hoping that if I get the use out of it, that I am hoping, then I will be able to justify an upgrade to a higher end board.

But for now I have to wait until it arrives in the shop (due a couple of days before Christmas) and then I'll be the one at Aspendale beach wobbling excessively with a big smile

Cheers.

Ozmoose (Andy)

Oh and though you don't know it you have all been a great help so far!!

Hi Ozmoose,
I hope you enjoy your new board. I had the opportunity to demo the 10'2 last summer and found it to be very stable and great in smallish waves. I think you will be happy with it, it is a nice board.

Yes - it was a surprisingly good surf ride -- so I bought a used 11" here in Hawaii.

hope you have a ball Andy!!!!

hahaha I know exactly what you mean when you were talking about stalking lol I think I did the same thing mate DJ is a legend and a wealth of knowledge.

I was talking to Tha Dogman a while ago about where he started and he remembers seeing DJ paddling years ago watching him paddle with a canoe paddle on a Mal off Melbourne somewhere and I believe he said it was. The mates he was with were like, ahhh!!! that's how it's done.
