Merry Christmas all.I have a Kialoa Insanity(narrow blade) and am looking to buy another with the wider blade. Not having much success in locating a dealer.I contacted Kialoa and they replied that the Aus agent would email me but unfortunately never happened.Anyone steer me in the right direction.I am in Sth Aus and the other paddle was bought on line .........Cheers
I love my insanity.. .. I have both 7 1/4" and 8" with the larger being my most used everyday paddle.. No one else is making paddles like these and they are very 'different'
It's a shame but I think shops selling Kialoa have to deal/order with Kialoa (US) direct and their buying price depends on how many they order at one time.. You might have to order yourself on line (like I have done in the past) and hope that shipping costs are not too high.. It's the high cost of shipping that's the problem.. Last time I ordered paddles I really only wanted 2 but bought 4 to take advantage of the more paddles cheaper shipping cost thing.. You can also contact shops that sell Kialoa (like SHQ) and see if they can slip the paddle you're after into their next order.. Shame it's all so messy.. because they're awesome paddles..
Couldn't agree more. Can't wait to get try of the slightly larger Insanity,as I love the small version.Surprises me they don't seem to rate much, compared to others.
Absolutely love my methane. I think my first one is almost six years old and has copped a beating so I bought another in Hawaii last visit almost two years ago but the original is still going strong. My friend has the Gerry Lopez and I can't wait to see and try that one too.
Kialoa make some really great paddles. I take my GL Surf when a breakage would put me in a right pickle. But I wish they had kept their oval shafts on most models. Of course, the round shafts are cheaper to make, and some people prefer them. But for me, oval shafts were almost a Kialoa USP. IMO you can't beat the combination of a t-handle and an oval shaft for control in critical situations.
