Here's a vid of my session yesterday with the new Kialoa Methane paddle. I'll write a full review soon but to summarise - it absolutely rips, so light and so easy to work with yet it's still got heaps of power.

I went out Mona Vale Basin - only small but super fun. First time for the season in boardies - woo hoo - bring on summer...

Very, very nice vid.
With the small waves we can also see the land/waterscape behind you.
The "Flying Objects" place is a very good idea. I like the moment when you are walking over it.

What did you think the first few strokes?.. Mat thinks he likes the Shaka Pu'u better.. How about you?

From what I had heard, I wasn't expecting much on those first few strokes ... but I was pleasantly surprised. I might have timed it well with a little backwash but as soon as I jumped on and did a few little/short stokes, I was powered up and charging out the back at speed. No cavitation either - throughout the session.

The Shaka Pu'u is really nice too - but for me, I'd probably go the Methane (keeping in mind that I surf a lot more than I flat water paddle).
