DJ I have used the Spitfire wing with great pleasure over the years in lots of guns and longer boards and it rules.
Stabilty and speed to make sections is its feild of play.
I dont think Fulid Foils make them now after the FCS take over a few years ago. I have the template safely tucked away just in case.
Without that fin I would have been falling off most of the time yesterday in the 20 - 30 kn westerly.
PRK in OH+ conditions would normally have 20 Mals + 10 SBs + 20 Sups. Yesterday there were 3 - 5 Mals (didnt stay long), 5 - 7 Sups (hard cases) and you had to want to be there.
Most walked out to the point looked at the size and the wind shook thier heads and went back to the car park.
Kristi struggled with the conditions and often got blown of her board tyring to turn onto waves.
You would get blown of your board my simply angling your paddle blade the wrong way it would catch the wind and then your were in the water.
The shorter Naish is harder for Kristi to get down the face but when she is on the wave it generated lots of speed and is very agile rail to rail.
Her style is very frantic at the moment on that board but that will change with time and confidence. She learned a lot yesterday.
Fun was had by all.
