Well we have been pushing the DC 9'4 to its limits to see what it will and will not do. We wanted to see if it would perform for a lightweight so I asked my daughter to take it for a spin. Keep in mind this board was made for someone my size 105 - 107kgs.

The following pics show Kristi my 13yr old (about 45kg) daughter riding the DC 9'4 with no issues at all.

So far we have had sufers from 45 - 105kgs on the same board and all have been super impressed.

You would have to say this is a very versatile board to say the least!

Of all the photos you've posted of Kristi, she looks the most relaxed on this board.

BTW, have you tried a circular polarizer on days with lots of haze/glare?

Hey Kitesurfer,

No I havent tried the circular polarizer at this point, but thank you for the tip

The major issue I have is the compression program on the sea breaze site.

It turns tack sharp into something that looks like it was shot at 3200 ISO lol?

I think Kristi is most at ease on her imperial, but I agree she loves the DC as well.

I may not get it back when I am well and able to surf it again.

I have been told that she would rip on a DC 8'8 so we may invest in one in the future.

I have recently purchased a new telephoto and it is taking a while to get it dialed.

The extra focal length really requires a gimbal mount. I have one ordered but its still a few days away at this stage.

Hey Phill,

IF... my DC 9'4" arrives Friday (Dale promised it would be on a truck heading south at 3:00pm today, originally it was meant to be down here by Tuesday) I'll be down at OG over the weekend and frothing to get it wet.

I'll give you a call Friday to see if you guys are going to be around and see what the prospects are. Sat morning looks promising.

Your going to be stoked with the new board Ross,
had my DC for a couple of weeks now and real happy with it,
amazed how Dale made the board to exactly what I was after,
enjoy,

Hey Lacey,

When you surf main beach you expect to do slalom its all part of the fun.

I think people need to remember when you surf these types of places that patience and even more skill are required on all types of craft.

You cant expect to get a beach that caters to 3 - 5000 people to yourself on a summers day.

Hey Windy,

The guy in the last pic is Mousey a good friend, he wouldnt knowingly drop in on anyone. He saw Kristi coming and pulled out straight away.

I have to say that all the locals here are great. They call the kids into waves and really look after them.

Its good to know when you cant get out there that others wil help out.

In many ways its great to live in a small town

Hey Camo that looks really nice, great planshape! Og, Kristi is ripping for a kid her age, I'd have to keep working on my younger daughter to give it a whirl in the surf.

Hey Mr Dogman,

We have been feeding a certain DC owner snakes and sherbies and jolt extra today so I may have some interesting images later.

hey camo, just about to grip up my 8'8". i'm itching to get on this. i thought it might be the 8 10 with a couple of inches knocked, but it's not the same board, more nose rocker for starters. if it goes 3/4's as good as that famed 8' 8", it will be my dream board
cheers
