Firstly I would like to thank everyone on SB for their help and suggestions for getting the grip off!

I got Dave Boyd Imperial to inset a handle in Krisit's board and as usual he did an outstanding job.

Dave can do both polyester (glass) and epoxy boards as well as with grip off and with grip on, yes there is a god.I have seen 3 done now and they are awesome.

The grip looks like this:

The smile I guess says it all!

This is a blatant plug for Imperial

I am having all my paddle boards and longboard guns done as I am sick of the neck ache after each session.

BP,

I thought it was an Aussie Flag?

I use a roller to get all the air bubbles out of the grip from center to rail and there are 3 towels to protect the board!

DJ's suggestion to remove the protective paper from a 1 inch strip in the center works a treat to position the grip.

Session suggested to heat the grip slightly and it went on like a dream.

Thanks again to all SBers for their help.

Robo, I am not feeling all that flash so tomorrow I might be on the still and vid so we might get some whack and hack pics of Kristi and all the others.

If I get in the water, I need to work out some aggression its been a bad week lol.

Your daughter is a credit to you phil - well done. I love the smiles you get from your children when they appreciate what they've done for them.

I don't know if it's just my paranoia about the modern world, but I can't help myself in cringing when you feel the need to post personal stuff like this on a public forum.

Hey BL,

Its a real pleasure to surf with Kristi, Nesha and Niki, It keeps the communication path open and they stay fit and always have fun.

Even when the body says no and it does often, the passion they have to get out there means you find another gear.

You will have special days like I enjoy now with Kristi that will last in your mind forever.

You have so much to look forward to BL

I remember that post now - nice one. I've got two as well, They are a little bit older now, somehow I don't think they would appreciate me posting their pics on a forum dominated by fat balding 40+ males.

I suppose you can look at thing from a positive or a negative angle; you tend to take the negative. That thought had never entered my head and is extremely distastful. I prefer to think Phill was sharing the stoke of a fun sport. A lot of us have families we share sup with which is really healthy, my kids love seeing their and other kids photos on here.

I'd call my angle more blunt and realistic than negative. The world unfortunately isn't peachy cream and you just need to be careful - especially on a medium where you are communicating with people who are completely unknown to you.

I don't think being bald, overweight and 40+ is disgusting. Two of these characteristics we can't control.

Oliver, dont take this the wrong way, But are you taking medication for mood swings? I just cant work you out.

Im getting tired of this forum, It was informative and great but why do you insist on flaping those lips and putting people down.

But then i guess you can can you when your behind a computer.

Get over it mate, See a doctor or someone who can talk to you about your anger issues. PLEASE

Hi DJ,

We double sided taped the new grip to the board and then measured the balance point and it is spot on. This may change slightly with different fin sets but I dont think its an issue.

Hey Brendon,

You would need to check with Dave but I think its about $130 for epoxy without grip on the board and $150 with grip (very fiddly job) as the handle needs to be fully sleeved and supported before it is put in to ensure there is no leakage into the board.
