A bit of footage from monday. Have been surfing this spot on my shorty in some fairly hectic onshore conditions and have been hanging to attack it on the stand up. Kind of inspired by some of the onshore sessions posted up here of late!
Started light and overcast, finnished up sunny and howling. Action pretty standard as is quality of camera work or lack thereof. Lots of fun, make hay while the sun shines!

Cheers

Thanks guys
Yep, onshore is sometimes the way to go. If its not too strong and you can still stand and paddle in relative comfort, there's a lot more bumps and ramps and sections to work with, same as on a shorty. MJ, there was about two hours of footage culled down into that three minutes, plenty more face plants in the chop!!
By the way, Rowey says howdie, catch up after next Bass Sup comp. Small world eh!!
Cheers

Cant believe the diference an inch makes!!!!
Took my board to local ding fix guru, epoxy wizard and gun shaper in his own right, Rowsa, with a cracked fin box. I had a bit of a whinge about how the board was classic but just wasn't operating in the vertical plain the way I had hoped. He looked at it for about thirty seconds and declared the rear box too far forward. Accompanying pictures show the solution, red tape over front plug, rear plug moved back about an inch. Had run an identical setup previously on the old plugs and just slid all over the place, the more fin I added, the less likely to go vertical. This setup is insane!!! Havent even tried the centre rear fin option Rowsa threw in, maybe when it gets way bigger!!! Oh and Roscoe, the day after was twice as big, offshore and clean, plenty crew out of frame to the left and to the right, four of us on the rip bowl. Short boarder laziness is a stand ups best friend!!
