I happened to walk into Imperial Surf today to get some shapers dust to clean up a board and Dave Boyd was beamin in the shaping bay.

Dave shapes all of JC's longboards and had about 70% of the longboards at the Vicco titles. I think he also shaped the top 2 place getters in the womens and mens divisions at the Aussies this year as well.

Someone convinced Dave to stop longboard production to produce a couple of custom SUPs.

He has just shaped
Board 1: 10'5 x 31 x 4'3/4 longboard SUP suits up to 130KG

Board 2: 10'5 x 31 x 4 1/2 Gun suits up to 130KG (this looks like one sweet stick) my drool is all over the blank.

I believe both boards have already been sold as soon as he got the blanks, but when they are finished I will post some pics.

He has made 2 SUPS for us 1 for Kristiana and the other for Nesha and 5 SUPs for friends in OG. All I can say is his shapes and the superb quility of the construction will make a big impact in the longboard SUP market.

Theses ones are both epoxy contruction which stunned me as Dave normally only works in traditional glass.

Dave havin some fun at OG, his awesome flow and style always turns heads in the line up.
