already discussed (do a search) but I love mine.

they are mostly handy if you have a van or large car, saves you walking around trying to catch the tie rope and climbing on the tyres....
+ they're theft safe

I'm very pleased with it, it saves time unloading /loading, its secure and surprisingly doesn't make any whistling noises at speed.

Mate i've had mine for 6 months and cant speak highly enough about these babies. Just awesome. Secure , quick, strong and silent. Look good on the car and easy to install. As i have narrow sups so i mixed my combo up and got the short sup base but with the double arms. This allows me to carry two sups..snug fit. I"ve had no problem with they keys...a little tip is to push in the arms before turning the key..less friction on the plastic and stops them from burring.
The other tip i did was put a rack pad over the base bar..this stopped my bag from flapping on the roof-no vibration sound , better protection too for board and bag.

I'd say you would have to go double base and arms to fit those SUPs

^^^Probably, you could give Dennis a call to check. Number is on their site.

Another handy tip: If you have a surfboard, slide it inside the board cover with the SUP that way you don't need to tie it down

I ordered a set yesterday and received today. Looks like a good unit. I got the kayak model which is 50cm base with double arms. Goes out to 90cm so will cover the biggest sups.

Dennis from AKS and Lockrack is known for excellent service in the kayak fishing world. I paid full price online and he dropped me a line to let me know he was dispatching and only charged $250. I noticed the price has now dropped to $250 on website at moment. Get on em.

Love my lockracks but they hum a bit at times. Any ideas on stopping the hum/whistle?

Make sure that you put the original rubber on the roof bars (Thule etc) back in the channel under the lock racks - you don't want any exposed channel as it will whistle like a champion as I found! Fix that and they're almost silent except for a tiny amount of wind noise at speed.

Great product.

Hi Rob, I placed a strip of foam between the existing racks and the length of lockrack as the spacer created a slight gap (hence a slight whistle) I have whispbar racks so there was no need to take the rubber strip out as the lockrack bolts and plates slid in over the rubber strip. The noise wasn't too bad to start with but I hate unnecessary added noises. The other thing I found was to leave the ends in when not in use (horizontal) less noise than with them out.

This may or may not work for differing vehicles

How do they go on long trips at highway speeds?

Not a problem, in fact better than straps. no vibration noise, no risk of over tightening, lockable, and you can throw your paddle inside the board bag without having to tie it down.
I'm definitely a fan but have no stakes in the company if it sounds like it.

Mate I rate these a 10/10..I've had no.problem with any noise at all on mine. They are on top of a whisper bar. What I did do tho is get a short rack pad made up that goes all the way over the whisper bar and lockrack system without covering the keylock. This eliminated any noise that my board bag made on my roof providing extra height I'm guessing. I also purchased 4 square plastic grommets that fit perfectly into end sections when.arms aren't in..looks super tidy and again no noise. Hope that helps
