Yesterday I was up at 5am (after finishing work at midnight) and drove for an hour and a half down the coast to meet others for a surf at 7am.. It was crap.. Sloppy on shore mush..

We decided to drive for another hour and a half to find a better spot.. It was worth the drive..

when the wind has any south in it and everywhere else is slop, that is a beautiful spot to go, if there is enough swell.

DJ,
Pt.Leo was just about perfect late arvo yesterday for Gerogia's (my 11 year old daughter) first paddle in waves.
Very gentle crunchies swell with 0-5 knots of breeze.
Crap for everyone else, but perfect for her!

Watch out Kristi!

DJ, another great vid. I hope you managed a nana-nap in the afternoon!

What Naish were you surfing?

It would have been excellent conditions for my Mana 9-5!

Hi Stimo, it's a 5'8 Starboard Ultra surfboard. It's for my kids, we actually picked it up early that morning so that was its first surf!
It's stupid light, wasn't an ideal day for it but Charlie got up no worries.

Yeah the 9'5" may have gone better, but hey, you were out there, and having fun, and that's what really matters!
Great Vid. Really enjoyed it.
