Please shop responsibly, help the brands that are not owned by financial funds!
(and be wary of the storytelling they try to push on you)

Action sports were never meant to be corporate-but private equity is killing them. Brands like Quiksilver, Billabong, Volcom, DC Shoes, Element, and Burton have been sold out, stripped of their identity, and turned into corporate trash. In this video, we break down how private equity takeovers and corporate greed ruined action sports brands, turning iconic names into mass-market shells of what they once were.

We'll explore the fall of action sports culture, how private equity firms exploited skate, surf, and snowboard brands for profit, and why core riders are fighting to take it back. If you've ever wondered what happened to your favorite action sports brands, or why skate and surf culture isn't what it used to be, this is a story you need to hear.
