My 9'1" longboard is a current model southpoint epoxy with a layer of timber in the construction replacing a layer of glass, and is supposedly slightly lighter than the older models. dunno if that would be the case with this one????
Last night I asked about the timber Lairds at the shop where I get all my surf gear, the owner is a mad keen SUPer and is mates with the local surftech rep, they havent been supplied with a rec retail price for the timber SUPs in australia and he said to get them in would be a special order from the states and to allow between two to four months, the normal 11'6" tuflite is about $2000 and he estimates you'd have to add at least 300 clams on top for the timber one.
