Taking a real short trip to Melbourne this weekend to see family.

Just got word my wifes cousins husband is picking me up from the airport and taking me the see Richmond V Carlton at the MCG.

I'm not usually one for getting too excited on forums but geeeez I'm excited.

Thought the tight shorts wearin' jumpin' and kickin' Vicco's might appreciate my excitement at something they probably do most weekends. BULK STOKED!

The shorts aren't as tight as they used to be !

Yep, everyone I ever knew who seen a game at MCG says it's unbeatable as a venue.

I lived in Melbourne until I was about 9 or 10 and was a Blues supporter and the last game I seen as a muppet was Bulldogs vs Blues.

I'm gonna eat pies and drink VB. Any other truly Victorian things I should be doing to get in the spirit?

Downwind runs on Saturday and Sunday morning - you're welcome to join us on those.

I looked at the forecast and seen that. Geez I'd love to come but staying in Berwick and travelling with carry on luggage. Too hard basket I'd reckon.

Anything's possible. Football doesn't start til after 2. We'd be finished around midday.

I arrive at Sat 1pm, go straight to game. Sunday have lunch in Trafalgar big family do. Not looking good but leave it with me, if plans change or Trafalgar becomes dinner or something I'll shoot you a message. From the vids it looks too fun to miss.

My only word of warning is that they have a habit of selling "mid strength" beer at The MCG, but they sell full strength spirits... Go figure... Must be to keep the Collingwood supporters happy ! Who knows...

The MCG is a modern day Colosseum / Colleseo !

Mid strength is not a problem.
Just drink twice as much.
You won't see much of the game cause you will be having a few trips to the pisser.
