I just came across this great vid from Luke Egan talking about his Magic Carpet SUP boards.

Robbo,

My daughter tried one of Dave Boyds 8'4 x 26 x 41/4 last week and they truely turn like a shortboard. I have seen Dave ride it and I am guessing he is mid 80kgs and and another guy at 90+ and they rip.

I think soon we will be seeing lots of sub 9ft board with 100+kg guys on them pulling of stunts you will only ever do on a short board sup

Great find D j , some of the best sub surfing I have seen yet! Awesome cutbacks, throwing the thiing around like a 6 4" To me this is what sub surfing is all about, Luke is making subs cool

Robbo (other robbo ) do it mate, get an 8 0" footer, looks like you surf good enough to ride one, you will love it

The red board Luke is riding in Sumatra is a Jimmy Lewis 10'0".

Thanks mate,but compared to Luke,Iam a total kook,but yeah an 8'er is definity on the cards,

Let us know when your down this way mate and we will hook up for some waves, bring your daughter as well and we can hit up Bridgewater, really nice sup wave and quite a few girls are regulars there, Kylie my wife as well and Nikki Robdogs daughter
