While I was there the surf shop on the front at Mooloolaba (can't remember what they're called but it's on the Alex/Maroochy side as you head up the hill from the strip) reckoned they were setting up for SUP hire but not quite there yet, no idea if that's progressed. The Kayak hire in the pier complex has a few dungers for use in the canals but they were pretty crap and I didn't bother. Try the contacts or ping one of the locals that posted in the earlier thread.
