Marcoola SLSC and Sunshine Coast Kayak Club we are organizing a 17km paddle down the Maroochy River from Dunethin Rock to the Kayak Club on Sunday August 12th 2012.

I will post more when I receive it.

Won't the tides be wrong with low tide about 9:45am and the paddle is then against the incoming tide?

Not sure but you could paddle out the front of my house tonight.

End of the street 5 doors down is 3' deep.
