3 days in Melb this week and the weather was beautiful. You turned it on MJ. No wind the whole time I was there and then DJ asks me to DW today....and got home to Sydney last night. Missed it by a day.

Hi DJ, just moved back to Melbourne and want to come along to this downwinder, but can't figure out where it is!

Do you mean Sandy Kiosk SUP shop in Sandringham?

About 500m west of the Kiosks on Beaconsfield Parade, directly north of the end of the St. Kilda Breakwater

Elwood to HMB run was a ripper!

Lot's of nice linking runners and not too choppy.

Have a good one guys. Watch those increasing gusts though, as they're very offshore!

Awesome DWer today.. Huge turn up with more than 20 paddlers in our group.. Sean from South Africa was with us and he gave it a 10 out of 10 in his book.. We got a steady 25-35 knots but lots off shore bits making it easy to blow out too far... Well done every one for holding their line and not causing a need for a rescue. .

Well done to everyone who has paddled and surfed through the winter, I stupidly haven't so legs feel as though I have just spent the last couple of hours on a bucking wobble board. Great fun and some awesome runners, though lost count of the falls.
Great way to get back into the stoke.....
