Yep, I convinced DJ that HMB is the go!

Gale warning forecast, so it should be a good one. It might take the edge off Sat's race, but that's ok. This is fun stuff!!

The media is calling it "frigid Friday" so not too warm out on the bay.
Might even see Wazza in some booties.
Noted its gusting to 40 knots at Dead Mans Cove so should be some entertaining footage on the DJ-TV channel later.
Stay safe out there

Felt like a solid 30-40 knots out there today..

Not sure if it was heaven or hell with super strong NE gusts blowing us towards the heads.

I turned my board into the yellow submarine a couple of times.

I think I'll be grinning for the rest of the day..

yep epic conditions and great stoke until arriving back at HMB to find mine and Gene's cars had been broken into smashed windscreen pass side and stolen wallet and phone for me :( !!!! a reward for anyone that finds the ****ers cause there going to feel some serious PAIN!! police were nice but will probably do nothing as it felt like going through the motions and that's the last we will hear of it !
BEWARE ALL these low life thieves are probably watching and realise they have a couple of hour window to ply their despicable scum bag trade....

Bugger. bugger, bugger.. In all the years of paddling in Melbourne (7-8) I have never had, or heard of, any car damage or vandalism.. The only time I've experience it myself is down the coast while surfing.. It's such a bad feeling and I'm sorry you had such a epic day spoiled by these scumbags.

yep real downer to end a great DWinder.

Lesson learned not to leave cars in unobserved carparks - better to leave down near the water where people around....
