x2 (am and pm)

So far myself and DJ confirmed, with Warwick (RPS) coming along for the arvo run. Everyone is very welcome, but let us know if you're coming so we know to wait.

MELBOURNE
Min 14. Max 40. Windy. Late change. Possible storm. Windy.
Metropolitan area:
A sunny day with north to northwesterly winds averaging up to 60 km/h (30 knots +)

Looks like the peak winds will be from midday onwards and we have plans to do two runs to accommodate anyone who is working but knocking off early.

So first run is planned to meet at Sandringham at 11am for departure from Langridge St StKilda at 11.30.

Second run is planned to meet at Sandringham at 3pm for departure from Langridge St StKilda at 3.30.

40 degrees so make sure you bring hydration.

Tomorrow is looking like a classic DW'er with a honking 30 knot hot northerly and 40deg.

So if anyone falls it will be because it's because they wanted to.. to cool off..

We have at least four of us doing it so far.

DJ

Forecast for Friday
Winds: North to northeasterly up to 10 knots during the early morning then tending north to northwesterly and increasing up to 30 knots around midday. Winds tending southwesterly 20 to 30 knots during the evening. Stronger squalls possible. Seas: Up to 1 metre increasing to 1 to 2 metres during the afternoon. The chance of thunderstorms late in the evening.

Guys,

we're having a New yrs bbq, so I'll not have time after work for a DW'er.

Fortunately I paddled the morning glass at Dead man's this morning, so I'm ok.

Hope the wind picks up for you. This morning it was S/E to E, so it's got to swing along way around for a DW.

See ya next year

SOFT.

But having said that, the change may arrive earlier than expected so the late run may not be possible. We'll see.

Pretty insane this morning - St Kilda to Ricketts. Great average speed with the northerly. Ready for some cold ones and a snag...

I enjoyed my first downwinder today - the first half had little wind and the second half had lots - spent a bit of time in the water but it was great fun! Bruce
