Just wondering if anyone is keen to do a Moomba night paddle tonight or over the next couple nights?

Tonight would be the best but if not maybe Thursday night? PFD's required.

I'd be in, but I don't have a PFD.

How about we just practice paddle, on an exercise machine, with a video of Laird Hamilton on the wall and our favorite Kenny G Album playing at full bore.

Is Sup Vic planning anything interesting this year? that surf trip in Venus Bay last year was fridken grouse.

Oliver I guess it's like having to wear a helmet on a pushie.. Anyway.. I will continue to paddle the Yarra without a PFD but doing it at Moomba might be pushing it a bit.. I have a PFD you can use.. Vest or Bum-bag type.

We are in the process of confirming SupVic event dates for this year right now and you'll be first to find out once we have it all worked out.

What time are you planning to launch tonight? Also, won't they have the river blocked off for the fireworks?

Whatever you are planning it sounds highly illegal.

Yes indeed and with with Parks Victoria and Marine Safety Victoria patrolling the area, I think we keep our powder dry tonight.

Maybe worth a re-think but if we went above and beyond what would be acceptable
safety gear it could only been seen as a good thing? Legrope, PFD, flares, compass,
support boat! I just had the bilge pump fitted so I can cross that off the list.
