I was looking forward to seeing this film/show: www.morningoftheearth.net/ .... and was about to book some tickets - then I saw the price: http://www.palaistheatre.net.au/whats-on.htm&event_id=41

Maybe I would go at $60 but this just sounds outrageous.

I'm keen to go Oliver and I knew the price would be high and $85 is a bit steep but it's a concert much more than a film.

I wonder who the special guests are?...Nat Young?

btw Oliver I have the original film on dvd if you want to check it out..I watched it not long ago.

I'd love to see the film again. I remember seeing it years ago. I'd go to the show too, but just felt the ticket price was a bit too steep.

It would be a good place to advertise the big sup day in Torquay which is a fortnight later - maybe you could even use some of your connections to swing us some tix....

Only joking.

Look this might be a bit from left field and I've had a few drinks so I'm ready to take a pasting over this ..but The surfing in Morning of The Earth is very reminiscent of modern day SUP surfing. A litle bit out of control..really. Like my golf! I (being an ex-greenkeeper) have spent considerable amounts of my infinite life playing golf. Why,? Because golf is so unbelievably difficult to master. Every now and then however I would get a handle on it and play regular good golf. The strange thing about it is once I achieved mastery (for a short time) I would stop playing. Only when I couldn't control it would I persevere. I suppose the point I'm getting to is modern surfboards can make it too easy. When the challenge isn't there it would seem it isn't so important. SUP's are difficult to master. Will this contribute to their longevity?
