Planning to try the handle bar mount on my paddle next session. Any advice about best place on paddle to attach it would be welcome. Also with the remote on gopro 3 - where are people carrying their remote when surfing? I'm thinking of trying a wrist strap when I can find something that fits the remote.

The wrist is the logical place.. That's where I plan to wear mind (if I ever get it working) and I think having the camera down near the blade works best but make sure you have a loop of string around the shaft down near the blade and attach the string on the camera to the loop on the paddle shaft.. Just in case.. They sink like a rock.

In this vid I had the camera actually on the blade of the paddle.

How do you guys get used to the weight down the paddle end, I tried it once with my camera and hated it, lasted about 2 minutes in average surf - I can appreciate that if it was pumping with little need for paddling it may be different?

It is a bit annoying but you get used to it before too long. It's great when you take it off again - your paddle feels so light and agile.
