Nice conditions. Could we see you downwind your Javelin X26 sometime? I'd be interested to see how you get on with it in conditions like these. I'm considering getting one but it is a big financial commitment and I'm worried it will be too tippy for me.

I can't wait to do a DW vid using the new LE X26.. Just waiting for great conditions (very rare these days)

I'm a bit worried about how fragile the board might be where the camera mount is because if the board was to flip (very likely) after a fall it might be an expensive repair.

What is the brand mark of your knee leash? Probably Naish.
I got an FCS one but can't find a spare knee attachement to sweep with the ankle one.
Nice video , thank you.

That run was what we affectionately call "Big Thursday"...started in the 30s and was gusting over 45kn by mid-run.

Kami, pretty sure DJ's leash is by Balin.

Yes it's a Balin half straight, half coiled leash.. Any surf/sup shop can get them.. or you can go direct.. www.balin.com.au

Here's how they came about.. www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Stand-Up-Paddle/SUP/New-Balin-leggie/?SearchTerms=Balin,leggie

Mine are still perfect after about 5 years.. I recommend the calf cuff [not the ankle cuff].. and you can also use it on your ankle if you ever need to kneel paddle.. Like I had to at the 3.30 mark in this vid..

Cheers. Couldn't you just use your helmet cam, and/or simple surface or paddle mounts? I'm sure we'd forgive you if just one time you did a DWer without the full Monty mount. It's such an expensive board it would indeed be a shame to risk it - or your camera.
