Heads up to all, a fun 10km river paddle is on again from Mullumbimby to Brunswick on Sunday 27th May 2012. Last year a group of paddlers from the Sunshine Coast stayed at Clarkes Beach caravan park for the weekend with our families and did the paddle. We're camping there again, so why not book and join us. It's a lot of fun with a few beers at the finish with the Gold Coast crew. About $25 to enter. ( NB no affiliation etc....)

Best race of the year, I'll be there for sure!

I heard the OA boys have been training hard for this race too, should be good to see how much we all improved since last year.

Definately a good race to test where you are at on flat water. Still not sure if I'll give it a go this year. It keeps growing each year and the money helps some good causes.

Pity it's the same weekend as the Southern Cross SUP Festival/NSW Titles at Port Stephens or I'd be there for sure.

It is a good little race with its currents, dead spots and many turns... not your quiet Currumbin Ck.
The headwind and the tide made it interesting in the last bit of the race last year.

Nice location to grab a good feed post race too

It's worth a paddle!

Do all SUP'ers go in the Print Rescue Challenge or do some go in the other classes?

Pretty sure it's only the one class for SUP being the Print Rescue Challenge.
Main thing is its just a fun paddle and good for a few beers and feed after.

Unofficial results:
1st Troy Pease, then Ryan Keck, Steve Quiller, Dale Chapman, then????
Very hard slog against current, shallow at start, with huge floating logs and stick debris to avoid. Think I got about 6th or 7th in about 1hr 20.
But fun to do.
