the music of the sea is not enough for you???
if doing 15-20k or so I like something to mask the "music" of my body
Too true, it's like when I'm jogging and the sound of my heavy breathing makes me feel like I'm more tired and I give up quicker. I'm not sure if I'd listen to music when ocean training/racing as there's too many variables and some one made need to shout out to you. But I'm looking into this for flatwater/river training to mask the long hard slog.
Some good solutions on here already, I'm really interested in headphones that store music rather than the ipod solution as I can't be bothered with wires from the unit to the ears.
