6.30 am Monday and packed up and ready to go.. I took my 14' Glide.. my 10' Mana and new 9' Hokua.. Quite a big load for my little black zook.

After about 3hrs driving it was time for a stop so I turned off at Orbost and headed for Marlo for a paddle on the Snowy river where it meets the sea.

I spotted this old tractor on the side of the road and stopped for a quick pic.

Just up the road I saw all these little cows and took some more pics.

At Marlo at last and looking forward to getting on the water.

I parked on the bank of the inlet and this local yocal came past in this cool 4x4.

After a rest in the sun I paddled across to the big sand hill on the other side of the inlet.

It was a great view from the top of the sand hill.

After a few pics I paddled up towards the ocean end of the inlet.

I saw people on the other side and paddled across to say hi.

The little girls were cute and lover the sup board.

Dave, great pics. The Marlo photos bring back memories of family camping trips there and playing on the sand dunes.

The stunner on the SUP must surely be posted to page 19 of that other topic!

Day two (for me) started with another beautiful sunrise.

In the afternoon Craig, Cam, Ross and I caught up with Andy and we did a DW'er from out off the point at Merimbula across to the Pambula river mouth.

On day three (Thursday the first day of the Corona Classic) it was another perfect way to start the day.

Once in from paddling I noticed that they were setting up the trade show and caught up with Rea and Vicky.. and Jacko with Randy Naish.

Yeah.. It's Robby Naish's older brother..

I have lots of pics from the trade show and I'll post them on another thread.

After the morning paddle and a few small waves on the Merimbula bar we hit the barbie and Steve said he would take us to secret place #1.

We had a great arvo in well over head high sucking waves that gnarly enough to keep me and my 10' Mana on the beach as a spectator.

Once we got back to Merimbula it was pretty late but some wanted to do a DW'er and Cam wanted to join them and I offered to drive his car down to Pambula to pick him up.. and I took some pictures.

Jacko paddled across from the main beach straight into a 20 knot headwind like it was nothing.. He used the Naish 14' Javelin and I never thought it could be used as a DW board in conditions this rough.. He proved me wrong.

Here's Ali with her 14' Glide and Cam with his 17' Glide.. and the other 17 there is Andy's.. We got a call from Casso and he was going to paddle out and meet the guys as they headed for Pambula.

Ali, Cam and Andy head left and Jacko heads right and into the strong outgoing current for a little warm up and to give the others a head start.

Jacko finally turns and heads off after them.

I got a couple of shots of Jacko paddling past the Aquarium wharf.

By the time they had reached the end of the point Jacko had caught them (he's like the energizer bunny).

I jumped in the car and drove to Pambula to see them come in.. The day before it was caos as we entered the Pambula river mouth with a head high swell and very fast out going tide.. I couldn't wait to see how Jacko handled the Jav through that.

Casso had caught up with them on his new 12'6" Deep board and all five of them were close to Pambula when I got there due to me stopping at Macca's on the way.

It looked pretty rough and windy as I looked through the trees.

I walked out to the end of the river mouth to see who's first.

It was no surprise that it was Jacko.

This is Andy on the right.. Cam in the middle.. and Casso on the left.

Andy's on his way and Cam is in the water.. Casso is going for it.

And Casso is eating it while Cam watches on.

Jacko and Andy cruising up the river.

Cam not far behind them.

And Casso not far behind Cam.. He did a great job on the 12'6" Deep.

Ali was not far off and the big smile at the end showed how much fun she'd had..
