Following on from Olivers 10 favourite breezers here's my top three surfers. There's only three because I'm new to all this but here goes . A surfing buddy of mine sent me a vid of Joel Tudor. Wow, liquid surfing, grace, stillness and more, it's like watching a ballet dancer. he doesn't command the wave he seems to be in a constant conversation with it, working together with the wave to get the best possible ride . Joel Parkinson, saw this guy on the telly up against slater . To me Parkinson is the opposite of Tudor , all power, incredible bottom turns with his head skimming the surface . Parkinson is a chess player, he looks like he can see his next turn before he has completed the one he's doing. A chess player with the grunt of Mike Tyson. My third favorite , Charles Barnett. A local Anglesea longboarder and good melbourne freind who got me surfing a couple of years ago. Thanks Charles!!

Absolutely amazed no one has added Wayne Lynch he simply changed surfing as we all no it.As good as Joel is ,he would and does say he modelled much of his surfing on Lynchie. Love to watch anything with Tom Curren, just beautiful, and ditto for Dave Rasta.

dazzler, I was waiting for George Greenough. I got a great book about the history of surfboard design, and there was the Greenough spoon, wow! looks like some kind of reverse engineered UFO debris crossed with Ikea playground equipment. watched a youtube vid of Greenough on the spoon. UNBE****INBELIEVABLE!!!
