Today was looking good for a great down-winder and I headed past Melbourne's new soccer stadium being built to meet Pete at Point Ormond.

We loaded the two 14's onto my little zook and left his car there.

We started paddling towards Pt Ormond with the wind becoming more gusty and swinging from northwest to southwest.. We needed northwest.

Soon after heading off we had the wind drop from 20-30 knots to 10-15.. Bugger!

Then the wind swung to the southwest and the waves soon followed hitting us side on.. Bugger!

We headed towards Point Ormond but every time we caught a wave it sent us the wrong way and I had to decide.. Struggle on towards Point Ormond.. or catch some runners and end up a little short of Point Ormond.. I thought.. what the heck.. might as well have some fun..

I look to see where Pete is and he had decided to struggle on.. So I was left to do 'the walk of shame' all by myself.. Bugger!. Bugger!. Bugger!.
