While the others got great waves we decided to do a car shuffle and drive up to the top end of Pambula lake and paddle across the lake and down Pambula river to where it meets the sea.. and it was a beautiful day.. and to top it off we had the out going current to help us on our way.. and also a tail wind.. Nice.
First stop Pambula river mouth.
Next stop the boat ramp on Pambula lake.
We all hit the water.. This is Ross on his 14' JM proto.
Paul on his 12'6".
Tim on his 14'er.
You have to be carefull paddling on a lake with oyster beds everywhere.
Ross and I went the right side of the oysters.. Jonathan, Paul and Tim went the long way round.. So we waited for them.
I was paddling my 10' Mana.
Nice board Ross.
Tim, Jonathan and Paul use the wind and take a rest from paddling.
Just cruising down the river listing for the duelling banjo's.
We stopped at this cool white sand beach.
Tim grabed my camera to get me in a shot.
We're off again and wondering what's around the next bend in the river.
One last group shot before we get to the river mouth.
Jonathan and I hit the little waves coming into the Pambula river mouth.
There's beautifull little beaches on the other side that most people never get to see.
We played on the waves and them paddled back to where the cars were parked.. Paul had this cute little girl on his board.
She didn't want to get off Pauls board.
Once Paul was gone and I waited for Jonathan to return with the car she jumped on my board and i took a few pictures.
just as I was leaving another group of paddlers turned up and they'd just done the same paddle as us.
This is my last look at Pambula river mouth.. What a great place.
It was then back to the barbie for the last time.. and then we got ready for the presintation.
We walked over to where the presintation.. What a great day our last day was.
Walking behind the love birds.
Could this be where the presintation was.. I don't think so.
Here we are.
We got there just in time to get a table up the back.
Oooh look.. A SeaBreeze logo.. Dam.. just missed it.
If you try too hard to win.. you might not.. If you have fun and don't winge.. You just might win something.. Tim won a nice new paddle for his effort.
Friends said goodbye to friends and made plans for next year.
Cam, Ross and I can't wait for next year.. I'm sure you can see by all this just why I have not missed a year in the last 31 years.. Now I'm looking forward to #32.
