Day four was Sunday and the last day.

You need to prioritize your day and the number one priority is.. hit the barbie.. the barbie guys do an awesome job in keeping everyone fed.

Then we suss out the conditions.. oh look.. There's Tim.

Tim and Paul.

Tim and paul were trying to organize a 4 person tean for the Balmoral SUP race.. I though you've got to be kidding.. The windsurfers are planing.. It's gotta be at least 20-20 knots.. Who'd want to paddling in that.. and add that shore break that was enough to put me off.. Paul was in the 2nd Starboard team.. Tim really wanted to race.. I was thinking 'don't look at me'.

Tim was detemand to race.. He had only caught his first wave the day before and only new to racing.. but he talked Jinathan and me into being in his team.. Then along came Ali.. Yeah we talked Ali into joining out team to make up the four.

I watched Annabel testing the condition and she made it look easy.

John Smythe explained how the race would be run and also the rules.. well the one rule.. the no wingeing rule.

Angie looked ready to race.. DC in the background had found himself a DC to race.

Jacko was looking like it would be a walk in the park for their team.

The Naish team was ready to race.

They're off and racing.. Go Tim!

Dale Chapman made it look easy coming through the shore break and his board handler ran to get the board.. hey is that AA.

Angie waiting for her turn.

Jacko carries the red rocket for Angie.. What a guy.

Tim comes in and we're well and trully last.. but having fun.

Alison readys the board for Jonathan to paddle out second leg.. Go Jonathan.

Meanwhile the crowd on the beach watch as Team Hobie get overtaken by Team Naish.. and team Fanatic and about to overtake them.. Team Starboard team one were overtake by starboard team two.. Go Paul.. I paddled next.. Face planted as I jumped off in the shorebreak.. by we were having the most fun.. Aslson was next and our last paddler.. She was off like a rocket.. She caught and passed the second last tean puting us now second last.. yeah.. we were not last anymore.. Thanks Ali.

Here we are.. The team that came second last.. and we're all glad that Tim had talked us into doing it.

The peanut gallery look down on us.. Why are they laughing.. Why is Andy collecting urine?.. Maybe he's drug testing the winners.

The sup stuff is over for now.. The windsurfers and kite surfers hit the water.

Look at these crazy kiters.. yes the Corona is all about having fun.. fun, fun, fun.

My old mate Scott O'Conner was there.. Ex Aussie windsurfing legend.

Jeez.. Serious sunscreen or what.

What another great day.. But it was just begining for us.

Steve took a group up to some secret spot where I heard they got barrels.. But we had other plans and the best part of our whole trip was about to begin.

More pics soon.

While the others got great waves we decided to do a car shuffle and drive up to the top end of Pambula lake and paddle across the lake and down Pambula river to where it meets the sea.. and it was a beautiful day.. and to top it off we had the out going current to help us on our way.. and also a tail wind.. Nice.

First stop Pambula river mouth.

Next stop the boat ramp on Pambula lake.

We all hit the water.. This is Ross on his 14' JM proto.

Paul on his 12'6".

Tim on his 14'er.

You have to be carefull paddling on a lake with oyster beds everywhere.

Ross and I went the right side of the oysters.. Jonathan, Paul and Tim went the long way round.. So we waited for them.

I was paddling my 10' Mana.

Nice board Ross.

Tim, Jonathan and Paul use the wind and take a rest from paddling.

Just cruising down the river listing for the duelling banjo's.

We stopped at this cool white sand beach.

Tim grabed my camera to get me in a shot.

We're off again and wondering what's around the next bend in the river.

One last group shot before we get to the river mouth.

Jonathan and I hit the little waves coming into the Pambula river mouth.

There's beautifull little beaches on the other side that most people never get to see.

We played on the waves and them paddled back to where the cars were parked.. Paul had this cute little girl on his board.

She didn't want to get off Pauls board.

Once Paul was gone and I waited for Jonathan to return with the car she jumped on my board and i took a few pictures.

just as I was leaving another group of paddlers turned up and they'd just done the same paddle as us.

This is my last look at Pambula river mouth.. What a great place.

It was then back to the barbie for the last time.. and then we got ready for the presintation.

We walked over to where the presintation.. What a great day our last day was.

Walking behind the love birds.

Could this be where the presintation was.. I don't think so.

Here we are.

We got there just in time to get a table up the back.

Oooh look.. A SeaBreeze logo.. Dam.. just missed it.

If you try too hard to win.. you might not.. If you have fun and don't winge.. You just might win something.. Tim won a nice new paddle for his effort.

Friends said goodbye to friends and made plans for next year.

Cam, Ross and I can't wait for next year.. I'm sure you can see by all this just why I have not missed a year in the last 31 years.. Now I'm looking forward to #32.
