I made this vid a while ago.. Not to show off but to help new people getting into SUP choose the right board for themselves.

All five of my boards are very different from each other.. I talked about their shapes and uses but the sound did not carry through the waterproof camera case.

Pink Floid fans might be glad the sound didn't work and not have to listen to my dribble about nose/tail shapes and rail/rocker and bottom shapes.

Maybe oneday I will over dub the sound once I work out how.. First I need to get myself a mic.

Warning.. Don't come asking for your ten minutes back if you watch it all..

Very Very nice (couldn't bring myself to push the "play" button even though I really really wanted to know if they are all yellow lol)
Towball has just got a 7'11 so suspect he might be beating you in the "shortest board" catagory
great quiver!

Sorry DJ I just couldn't push play either....

Yep got a 7'4 x 29.5 Starboard POD, used one on Maui and couldn't resist a cheapie 2010 model. Paddled it on the weekend at my usual Waratah Bay beach break, absolutely love it!!

Set up as a quad with the stock fins, two foot pretty clean waves and it's so short and has so much drive I was getting a couple of bottom turns in on waves I'd normally be able to do nothing with. Even got some cheater nose rides. Short boards rock for average to crap surfers, doesn't seem to make sense but this thing makes me feel like a legend

Let me think about that for about one second.. I choose B.. and I might even get that new 12'6" BOP board.. so take that.. .. (just kidding) .. I am lucky I don't get hassled about it even though it has me maxing out my credit cards.. I think working in ICU makes me think every day how important your health is and how easy that can change.

My Mum passed away while in her mid sixties and now that I'm in my mid fifties I sometimes think that I may only have ten good years left.. These days ten years can go in the blink of an eye.. It's great to see guys like PonoBill still doing down-winders in his mid sixties.. I hope I can as well.

If I was forced to only have two boards it would be an easy choice.. The 10' Mana and the 14' Glide.. The 9' Hokua and 17' Glide are special (luxury) boards to me and the Jav is also a special board that I love to use on a glassy smooth day.. I may sell it one day and buy the new 12'6".

I'd like to think you got more then 10 years DJ. If ya get the tap on the shoulder off the big fells in a decade then I'm sure you've crammed a lot in.
Re: the Mana. I'm looking at getting one soon (holding out in buy & sell) and was curious about the difference in AST vs wood. I know ast is cheaper and I'm told heavier. Would you notice much difference when surfing ?

IMO.. Same shape, same weight, same performance and just different looks and different fins.. In some ways the AST is a better board because the gloss on the bamboo deck is very slick.

I noticed that RPS had an AST in their racks at a bargain price the other day.. Give Warwick a call .. It really is a great board.. I love mine and you're welcome to try it.
