This morning I took advantage of a SUP morning put on by Adventure Sports at Noosa River mouth. On display and available for demo paddles was a large range of the current Naish SUP's. I have been looking at purchasing a14' board to replace my 12'6" Fanatic and had test paddled a few different makes. Today I paddled a Carbon 14' x 29.5" GX .
I must say what a pleasure to paddle this board was. I look for boards that are comfortable straight off and boards that don't require massive effort just to stay on them. This is because I sometimes go longish periods between paddles and I want to be able to jump on and enjoy myself straight away rather that relearning the boards features each time.
The Glide suited my criteria straight away. Some boards have a limited sweet spot and can be tippy if you venture too far away from it. I found that I could step forward and back without affecting stability at all and moving around on the board was quite easy. The new carry handle is great too. Whilst I didn't paddle more than about a kilometre return this board was comfortable and as it's name states had a lovely Glide.
Despite the colour I might have to think about getting myself one of these chaps.
I can see why DJ is sold on these things.
Anyway thought it may be of interest to some of you guys, worth a test if you can get one.
Cheers. ET.

Hey ET,
What's the rocker like? I know they've lowered it again this year, but just want to get an idea of how much nose still sticks out of the water?

Yeah Zeus, I would say about 15" to 18" max. Out of the water, When looking side on. It rides over chop and wash nicely with no bucking. I hate bucking over chop so I did notice how it coped with it.
Cheers. ET.

A bunch of Brisbane guys paddled the same board at a Naish/BrisKites demo day 2 weeks ago and there was virtually a queue forming to have a paddle on it. It is a great board and I agree 100% with all of ET's comments.

Thanks guys.. IMO it looks awesome..

Can't wait for mine to turn up.. I've gone with the cheaper GS option.. Two weeks away.. I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas..

The first Glide was awesome.. The second even better.. and from what I can see in the pics they've made it so much better again.

That nose looks like it will love pearling.. Yea .. Deck grip all the way back.. Yea.. .. Handle in the center.. Yea .. Better fin.. Yea .. and no more tippy.. Double yea..
