Love my Nalu 10'6.....only now wish naish would bring out a more performance longboard version.....carbon & maybe slightly narrower etc.

Thanks guys!
Its one of those boards that you will have in your quiver for ever. Really responsive off the tail and still get to the nose.
Looking forward to riding the 2015 Nalu 10'6 GT soon

I have 2 of them.
I had one, then the Wif decided she wanted to paddle, so the choice was obvious. Buy another one!
She also has another 3 girlfriends into it, so now thay have a Friday morning fleet of 4 x 10 6 Nalu GT's.

Think I need to up my game after watching Freshiesup though.
(although I dunno what he's doing in a full steamer in Sydney)
I'm usually happy enough with a casual ride across the wave whilst oiling my muscle...

You can really move that board around Freshiesup.
What fins are you using in the Nalu?
Im not getting anywhere near that much speed or response out of mine

Me neither
Think I might be a bit light for my 10'6 Nalu.
Still a great all-rounder though!
Nice vid mate!

I usually use the stock standard Naish set that comes with the board but in that clip i used a smaller 7' centre fin and M7's on the sides, that made it respond really well and got a lot more speed out of the board.

I threw in my Shapers Jackson Close set of fins I have for my shorter JP after talking with Sam from WSS on the weekend. Gave it a whirl this morning and its certainly a whole lot quicket and looser on the wave - very sweet & the grin even wider now

I tried the FCS HI set in it this morning and like JustBernie said it's like a different board, it's so much faster and responsive!!

Recently purchased the 2015 10'6 nalu. They are amazing boards,I love it! Can't wait to start playing around with fin set ups. Although the stock fins look and feel pretty nice.

If you're using a three fin setup, the center fin may be in the wrong spot which will make it feel like there is extra drag. Measure the distance from the back of your side fins and the back of the center. 6 11/16" or 7 9/16" is where you won't feel excess drag.

Do you mean the distance between these two points should be between 6 11/16" and 7 9/16''?

No it's the measurement straight down along the center fin box. Easiest way is to put a ruler or straight edge of some type across the back of both side fins and draw a straight line across from one to the other using a pencil. Then from the point directly above where the center fin box is, measure down.

So I moved my fin forward a bit and it's like a completely different board. No longer getting bogged down when I move toward the back, so it's much easier to maintain speed whilst turning.
Thanks heaps mate.

It was too far back, I moved it toward the front a couple of inches from centre.

Um. That doesn't quite work on the 2015 nalu with the stock fins. Unless I'm measuring incorrectly. can't move the centre fin back that far
