Loving my new SUP. I am a 60kg , female beginner and this board is perfect for me. At present, I'm just using it on a calm ocean but hope as the confidence improves to catch a few small waves. A big thumbs up to Damien Wallace- Jay sails- for his advice and recommendation of this board for me. I have the GT model which looks so cool and "old school". It very light and has a really easy to grip handle ,so I have no problem carrying it down to the beach and putting it on and off the racks on my car. Gotta love this SUP !!

Way to go Sal.
Plenty of beautiful places to paddle in your neck of the woods. Glad to hear you're enjoying the SUP stoke!
Will be down there myself in Feb and March and hoping to put in some big paddles around Coles Bay and Freycinet Peninsula.
Enjoy.

Hi Sal.
Couldn't possibly have posted a reply before DJ on this topic, but now that he has...
I have a Nalu 10' 6.5" GT also, and I agree with all your comments.
As a first board it's been fantastic. Makes you feel like you're paddling in Hawaii (sorry guys, but it's an important point for us southerners - probably even more so in Tas)!
Everything from flat water to surf.
Took it down to PtLeo (2nd reef) last weekend in the worst possible conditions - ebb tide and a northerly breeze. But hey it was the last day of winter, sunny & 23c. I was amazed at how the board picked up and just hung onto every wave in such crappy conditions. With my lousy surfing proficiency it was still a great day out.
But Sal, be aware that you WILL get the bug for another board, for those calm ocean cruises - perhaps a little longer, a little narrower, but hopefully still yellow!
