The 2014 Australian SUP Titles will see the introduction of two SUP Community Challenges added to this year?s titles on Sunday, October 19.

It will comprise of a short course (5-10 kilometre) race which will include six individual divisions as well as a marathon race (20 kilometre race) which will include an Open Men?s & Open Women?s division.

These new additions will allow the general public to take part in the 2014 event. SUP Community Challenge competitors do not need to qualify through their state rounds.

SUP Community Challenge divisions;

Short Course (5-10km)
All welcome ? Open to general public
(Boards 14 feet & under)
-Open Men
-Open Women
-Over 40 Men
-Over 40 Women
-Under 18 Boys (13+ years)
-Under 18 Girls (13+ years

Marathon (20km)
All welcome ? Open to general public
(Boards 14 feet & under)
-Open Men
-Open Women

That's great news - especially for all the Kiwi's (& those from other countries) living in Australia who previously couldn't participate.
Awesome to see the junior divisions too!
Hopefully the extra divisions will be well-supported.

Assuming these races are run at a separate time to the National Title races where do they fit into the schedule of events?

The date appears to be set on the Sunday, so I'm just guessing it might both be run alongside the marathon, with a second start location for the shorter course (hence why you can't enter both community races)?
