Cheaper.. more durable and still light.

I just posted this on Scotty's thread about kids paddles but I think it deserves a thread of its own.

I'll post more info when I get it.. Here's a few of pics of the new Kialoa paddle.

"The 3 new SUP paddles are part of our new line called the "Ikaika Series".
The blades are constructed with a material call Continuous Fiber Reinforced Thermo Plastic (CFRT).
This material is light, durable, and less expensive than carbon/fiberglass and epoxy.".. Dave Chun.

CFRT is not a material in itself it's a "family" of material.
It's the combination of a thermoplastic and fiber (which can be carbon, glass, aramid...)

Definately cheaper, it would be interesting to compare the prices of the paddles...

Might be good on the shoulders as they look flexy like the JL.
