After weeks of bad weather and too much work, I finally got the new 2nd hand jl 10 footer out. I'm coming down from the starboard 11'2" so found the 10 x 28" a little tippy at first but nothing that a bit more water time won't fix. I found catching waves just as easy but once on the wave things really came to life. Sup surfing now feels like a brand new sport and I'm now stoked for life!! The 11'2" will stay for friends and family to use and for taking the kids out with me, but for the surf its now the jl 10'
Thanks to Courts who gave me plenty of advice before I got the board and also on setting it up with the right fins.
If anyone is looking at trying the next size down from one of the bigger boards, do it!! If I can get on a board 10 x 28 anyone can because I am a complete hack!!
