Well, almost new....Courts sold me his a few weeks ago.
All this talk of downwinders and with Perth blowing 25k most days and no surf, was keen to join the fun without going the full hog on a new board.
So this is the JL Albatross, 12'6"*29*5.....235 litres
Obviously not intended for surfing, just getting out there for a paddle on the glassy days and even better hammering downwind when blowy.
Nothing to compare this board to as new to this size but I am loving it. Had some great runs on really windy days and love picking up runners already.....heaps of fun.
My surfing mates still don't get it but once again SUP has given me a new stoke

........woohoo

Great work.

If your mates tried it, they'd get it.

Mine are the same. Getting lots of 'WTF' but not much positive vibe but 2 mates who tried it on the River are now trying to convince their girls to let them get one !

Enjoy bro.

Ive got the missus doin downwinders with me now after 5 times out on a SUP.
She loves it. One of the Euro windsurfers in town came up for a yarn and a look yesterday when we hit the beach.I told him to have a go and off he went.No probs he had a ball on the 9'5 Mana
. Anyone can do it straight away thats the beauty of SUPn I recon compared to kitin etc which are a pain till ya get past the learnin stage.
This Summer is gonna be SUP city around here I think

Hey Dee Jay that looks like a full on down-wind board to me with the full on nose rocker and almost flat tail with plenty of volume. I'm only guessing but I don't think it would be too far off the rocker shape of the Naish 14' Glide.

I think it would be a weapon in super strong wind - just wouldn't want to stuff that big wide nose too too far under unless you were going straight down the wave.

Very nice looking DW board. Jimmy sure does like a bit of nose rocker on his boards.
