I've been without a camera since the Corona in Merimbula where my camera failed and today I got to use my new Pentax W90 for the first time.
Cam and I loaded our 17's onto the roof and headed for Bells Beach.. We caught up with Simon in Torquay and loaded his 17 on as well.
Our plan was to paddle from Bells Beach to Torquay.. It was out first attempt and we couldn't have got a more perfect day for it.
Once out Cam and Simon couldn't resist catching a few famous Bells waves on their 17's.
It was 9.30 when we headed off for Point Danger (Torquay).
We had a gentle breeze behind us and some nice rolling swells coming through.
We caught some nice waves across the point at Pt Danger and all survived the trip without a fall or incident.. It took about 50 minutes at a casual pace.
Once the boards were up on the grass at the point Simon drove Cam back to Bells to get his car and I stayed back to look after the boards.. and take a few more pics.

Once we were loaded we drove down to Point Roadknight to check out the action.
I was going to break into this car at PRK but decided not to after seeing this sign in the window..
Ian was there with some new Starboards.
There were plenty of locals keen to check out boards.
I took the new 11'2" x 36" for a paddle.. It was great fun and surfed really good.. for a barge..
Cam wizzed past on a new little Starboard and goes for the high five.
Dean was there doing what he does.
Dean's son Jarod was there having fun.
Rich from Strapper enjoying the bigger boards.
DC was there looking super trim and fit.. for an old bugger..
Cam on another wave.
Dean on the 14' SurfRace.
Kristi looking great.. like always.
What a great day.. I noticed my camera was on the macro setting so the focus wasn't as good as it should be but the new camera seemed to work ok.
Now to upload my GoPro vid from the Bells to Torquay paddle.. Maybe tomorrow.
