Well, the 3/2 West lotus wetty is really starting to show its age(as is its contents). I started to feel the cold at Lorne the other day, even with the masses of insulation I've managed to produce over summer, crap and its not even winter yet!!!. So ,OK what's good, whats not and what is everyone else using?

ripcurl 3x2 dawn patrol. If you don't spend too much time in the soup it's plenty warm enough

Recently got a ripcurl e-bomb 4/3. Warm as, lots of stretch and more importantly don't notice any restrictions on my arms when prone paddling. Might be a tad warm when sup paddling though

I agree with Phil, the O'Neill psycho 3/2. I have shoulder problems, the suit gives me no restriction what so ever. I have heard Murf's Longboards stocks them in Ocean Grove, (can I write that?).

While your testing the market, I'd recommend trying on an ION wettie. Main reason is they aren't built for surfing, but for standing sports such as Windsurfing, Kiteboarding, Wakeboarding and SUP. The beauty of the ION wetsuits is the acoommodate for extra muscle expansion in your forearms & biceps (due to the fact that we are holding onto the paddle and not just patting water with our hands) and for the fact that our shoulders spend more time on a different angle to specific surf style suits. With this design, you will find you tire less after longer paddles. I believe RPS and possibly SHQ hold stock. Worth a look into.

P.s. Yes i ride for ION.
