I've finally bitten the bullet & traded my old (2006) faithful JP xcite ride 165 (that's a windsurf board, for those not in the know) for a Naish Nalu 11'6". As a frequent viewer of the sup threads, but never having anything to say, you can expect some ridiculously stupid questions coming from me.

As an example, and never having surfed, I had to google how to tie on a leash this morning after I finished unwrapping my new pressie. I think I got it right in the end...the velcro bits confused me.

Anyways, after reading the reviews on the board, I think I made the right decision. I now have a board for all conditions I'll be supping in, suits my large frame (and the fat it contains), and one that my wife & kids can enjoy as well. Due to the trade-in, saved a few bucks & storage space in the shed, although I'll sadly miss my JP, prob the most fun w/surfing board I had, but it was no good for the young'uns (sugarcoat shredded their legs).

I'm also yet to test it, but I can still attach a rig if the wind lifts a bit for a bit of additional fun.

Fun times ahead!
