My very talented son Riley (Doesn't get it from me) is playing for Victoria in the Australian under 18 Field Hockey Championships being held in Newcastle. Very proud Dad even if he does bag me at every possible opportunity and refuses to get on a SUP ( Reckons he's a real surfer on his 6'2" at 6'3" tall Ha, he's dreamin!! ). My question is.... are there any places a fat old codger can get a decent SUP wave without getting his tyres let down/slashed or the crap beaten out of him close by. I don't drop in unless by accident and I'm scared of most long boarders, coz most of them are fatter and stupider than I am and ride a longer board than I do seriously boys......Just joking. I'll be up there for around 11 days dependant on Vicco's success and they have a couple of lay days I believe, so don't mind doing day trips ( the Hunter Valley is pencilled in for one- great surf there!. I vaguely remember Old Bar in Taree, Forster and Terrigal as having some nice waves. And I know there are some excellent waves at Merewether locally. I'm not sure if it is school hols up there at the same time so any nice uncrowded wave suggestions would be very much appreciated. I pay in half dozens of beer, taxed by 16.6 % (one shared!! so I can say thanks)

Hey Pete, thanks for the invite i'll have to take you up on it! I'll be up there from the 2nd till the13th if they make the finals. I'll be giving my Allwave a tour up the Pacific HWY on the way up. I see that you're with Starboard. Hmmmmm, might have to checkout an 8'10" Widepoint and if it goes well??????? Do you sell them?? I'll ring/PM you closer to the date. Let me know what type of wine or beer you drink. I do remember that Balmain Bugs were also delicious. My big fat guts is looking forward to the excursion. First personal holiday for 3 years!!!! Thank you guys!!!!!. It's going to cost me a fortune in thank you gifts but i'm looking forward to try and arrange times for a SUP and or Surf with all of you at some stage,when I get there! It's a beautiful part of the worldCheers and catch up in a couple of weeks. Go Viccaburras
