At age 40 I have made the decision to know longer wear cossies to the beach. I started out in my teens as a surfie and therefore only boardies was appropriate. Then I became a "clubby wanker" (think Puberty Blues). Then rowed surfed boats (even worse with cossies up ya ace).
Even my 7 year old won't wear them. The look of Tony Abbott in them didn't help. So times have changed and it's boardies only for me. The end of an era.

I quite like the budgies under the wetsuit - saves the brown aye changing in the carpark.

And I wear the budgies under the boardies - it sort of gives reassurance (ahem).

But never without cover.

Ha Ha,yeh I havent owned a pair in years,"BUT"in 2009 I went to noosa and it was pumping and all I was wearing was boardies and after 3 walks from main beach to tea tree I had the worst rash on the inside of my leggs I had to carry my long board with one hand and hold my boardies away from my inner thighs with my other hand.So I cut my short sleve springy in half and put the bottom half on under my shorts, problem solved. The next year I went again and took a pair of Skins with me,also no problems but I was feeling very fashion concious for the 3 weeks that I was there.

If ya ever have trouble with a crew, paddle out with a pair on. There will be laughs and jeers, but once your parked up next to them and all they can see is your c#*k...

I'm with Marvin, wouldnt be caught dead in the wettie without the speedos, and boardies as well,

So Scotty if your going "commando" on Australia Day in the Blast race and (as I expect) you are in front of me and happen to split you boardies, then I'm going to be closing my eyes and going hell for leather, can you let me know when I'm past you, cause I dont want that view for the next 4.9 kms!!!!!!!!!

Oh the thought...........you eastern suburbs types

I go commando 24/7 and can't see the point in wearing togs under boardies. Yes, I do run the risk with only one cover of protection - living on the edge. I'm from the fair dinkum part of the eastern suburbs - not to be confused with the Oxford st region, ha,ha.

I left year 12 in 89. I reckon you would have had a few roughies in your year. The Stubs bros and Marty Lee springs to mind. A few of the Goldy boys might know Marty. He certainly had a presence about him. Headed up to QLD I reckon around 95.

I tried it and the weight of my unsupported goolies swinging around down there and bashing into stuff was really painful.

Definitely wear speedos under the wettie or boardie or au natural speedos for swimming. At the very least jocks are a necessity.

The jewels are like eggs. I like to see mine as 'free range' with freedom to move around. Yours might be a bit 'locked up' like a battery hen.

Do you blame them for not telling him ? He was a handfull for his parent. Top bloke Marty and always had respect for him and same in return.
