Cos I now have a sup anchor..

I might even get into some sup yoga this summer..

Actually I got my anchor because I like to lay on my board in the sun and relax without worrying about drifting onto the rocks or into a boat.

I used it the other day for the first time and it worked great.. It's small enough to carry in my bum-bag or back pack.. and the only cost about $20.

Where did you get that anchor DJ? The one I have doesn't exactly sit nicely on a carbon board as you're heading out through a shore break.

I saw a specially designed sand anchor on ABC New Inventors.

Nylon anchor.... I remember being impressed when I saw this on TV.

Sorry DJ, you bought the wrong one!

The shop where I bought mine had one of those new fandangle light weight plastic anchores but I didn't like it.. They are too light .. too bulky to carry .. and only work with about 30' of rope in shallow water to get the grip angle right and I can drop mine straight down with only about 10' of rope needed.. They are interesting though..

An anchor for a SUP? Most people are trying to work out how to keep paddling and how not to fall off!

Great for SUP fishing DJ,

just take a silver slice and hand line to jig over the side whilst you wait for the crew to catch up. Then have flathead tails on the BBQ after.
