Well after a week of small average waves, the last 2 days at the Noosa festival of surfing turned it on. The semis on Sat in the afternoon saw some great surfing but nothing compared to the final the next day.

The final started and it was on. One of the finalist would catch a wave, rip it and then have the bar lifted by the next surfer. This went on for the entire final with Bonga's big off the tops ,tube ride, and Brian K and Luke Egan's big cuttys just some of the highlights.

I think it showed a lot of people up there that SUP is not just for cruzin in 2 foot waves.I had comments from people like, I didn't know you could surf like that on those big boards. It was funny to hear some of the comments. Brian Keaulana was riding a board in the 8 foot range. Most of the boards where 9'0" to 10'0".

Well another good week of fun finished, can't wait till next year.
