Im wearing a full steamer 2mm - but Im a soft Queenslander girly. Actually have to jump in the water with it on if you don't fall in enough to cool off !

You will probably do with boardies and a really lightweight wetty top

ive never been to a place with so many softies.

even at the end of summer there was guys rocking full length wetties.

i wore a 2mm spirng suit and hand to come in a change to boardies because i was sweating.

just take a pair of boardies and a t-shirt.

and also a knife to fight off all the agro pricks in the line up.

Hmmm, take a knife?

We were talking about wetsuits there for a while... Ive Supped all over QLD and never required a knife, and hope I never will.

More cruisee up here on the Sunshine Coast. You get the odd git but it is normaly laid back. Day surfs are boardies and t'shirt. Early mornings you may want a 1mm thermal rashie with boardies. The wind is the main thing here as the water is nice. SW means a bit chilly and you may need a spring suite. Swimming in pools at eight o'clock in Cairns a few weeks back and thought it was great. Local thought it was cold. All relative.

no BP not all australians
just the ones that crawl around thinking they own the show, if it is chest high plus the points will be full of em , ya know them when ya see them every one does, the vibe and there eyes are rolling, they are the ones on boards to small, to thin, bodies to fat like mine , not catching to much but paddling like **** missing it and going F..k at the top of there lungs so everyone hears them, when they catch one they grovell and are generally unhappy

any way hope it comes on for ya and if the weather is good get into the beachies along the north coast you will enjoy

Im just happy to be getting into some warm water, I can respect the locals for sure as me and my sup will be more than a hazard on the best of days

That is if i can borrow or steel a sup and paddle, Or better yet buy a new board while there. Freight can be a prick

getting something for the right price is not a bad idea bp. still think you have some time on the naish to go, but if boards are so dear in nz, getting a secondhand board for your self ready for the next step is smart and there is plenty on the breeze forsale
cheers

Nice Vid. Looked like the person at 1:12 got slotted.

Must say after watching that it makes me wonder why there are not more injuries out in the water...........

The Patch - would love to SUP that spot - would save me the walk around.

Got the new walk sorted. across the paddocks then 1000 steps on the sand kiters take off in the bay we still learning but would carry a 9.5 mana 20mins then try and beat the crawlers to the goods.
This is a new reality as is our domination in running rugby not worried about the wobbilies. Cha.
