Hi, after paddling usually on flat water for a while my feet start to go numb, why does this happen, my friends experience the same, is there any technique or way to prevent/ stop this?
Cheers,
Adam

Yes.. Relax.. and move your feet more.

Yeah we nearly all suffer from that early on, comes from the lizard part of your brain being locked into the one stance and trying to keep a death grip on the board with your toes...do what DJ said. Some deck pads aggravate this more than others (in which cases it's even more important to relax and move your feet)

I start getting the numb feeling after about 3km, try shuffling your feet a bit. Which ever side your paddling on have that foot couple of inches forward of the other than when you change sides with paddle switch your feet around.
As DJ said movement is the key.
