Hi all,

This is very off topic, butttttt out of all the forum's on SB you guy's seem to know the most about video devices and editing.

My problem is I've used windows movie maker to edit some family videos, about 6 years worth in fact and know I can't work out why I can't burn them to DVD. I've tried Nero and DVD shrink, no success there.

Can some one please help me!!! do I need to reformat or use a certain program. I really don't know much about this stuff, the editing was hard enough.

Any advice apreciated. Cheers Sam

Well could not be easier than with iDVD on a MAC.

Can only guess that's not the answer you were after though.

My guess is that you may be trying to burn a dvd that is not compatible with your dvd reader/writer

Some DVD players, particularly older ones have problems with different formatted DVD's for example there are DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-RAM, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD-RO

Work out what DVD player you have and check that the format is compatible.

Using LG DVD-R discs,

Disc drive is LG DVD Multi Recorder

The vid's are about an hour long each, 874mb's so that shouldn't be problem for the 4.7 gb disc.
